23. BluesBaltica/Bluesfest Eutin
Admission free at a huge festival - how does that even work?
Stall money, subventions and sponsoring add up to the majority of the budget. To cover the rest of it, donations from the audience are very welcome!
To collect these, nice, young girls with collector boxes go through the audience. For a small donation (starting at 1 Euro), you'll get a sticker. Donations of 10 Euros and higher will get you a CD as a thank-you gift (while stocks last).
Many thanks!

Photo exhibition
Photo exhibition
All days until 19.00h: Exhibition with photos by Mechthild Op Gen Oorth "Over The Railroad Tracks", at the Cafe Klausberger, located at the Market Square (30m left to the stage), Vernissage: Wednesday, May 16th, 19.30h.
Mechthild Op Gen Oorth, born in Hamburg

Resides and works in Chicago. Her pictures possess that unique magic which the viewer instinctively feels but cannot put into words. Her photographs are absolute. Be it the enchanted palace of the German Baroque or the vigorous dynamic of an American blues singer in Chicago her art reveals at once the robust reality of photography and the sensitive character of an oil painting. She is inspired by the paintings of her grandfather, the northern German impressionist Arthur Illies, whose influence has left a lasting impression on her. Numerous exhibitions all over the world (among others in Chicago with Goethe Institute) have made her to one of the important photographers of our times.

Sweet Felicia & the Honeytones (Australia)
Swingin' Retroblues

Powerful swingin ́ vocalist and bassist Sweet Felicia fronts her band "Sweet Felicia & the Honeytones". Driving her band to swing hard and give the music feel that reminds us of the "hot clubs" of the 40's and 50's along with deep grooving shuffles as she delivers her original songs in a voice that we cannot forget is paramount to her ideology that music must be played with a depth of feel, heart and soul for it to be enjoyed by all. And enjoy they do! In 2011 the band won the Melbourne Blues Performer and reached the Semi Finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA. Representing Australia they have to travel the longest way of all acts to Eutin. The band is about to make their musical debut in Europe at the BluesBaltica.
